So many stories, so little time

On our drive to Toledo today, we got to know some of the friends in our tour group a little better.  These are their stories.

  • Found out that we went to SKE the same year as another couple on the trip. However, they attended in the Richmond Assembly Hall and we were in Palm Coast Florida. Now they live near Palm Coast and we will be going to Richmond for our assembly next weekend. 😊
  • Two couples on the trip are currently serving as remote Bethelites and two brothers have served on the HLC
  • One sister just found out that her son was reinstated last night!
  • One brother said he was shy and suffered from anxiety.  But he was so glad to get out of his comfort zone and fulfill his dream of traveling the world!
  • Two sisters said though they had only a little knowledge of the truth when growing up - nothing else they tried later in life could ever measure up.
  • One brother and his family survived the NY flight 52 that crashed outside of JFK.  Half of the passengers didn’t (including his grandmother who was afraid to fly but agreed in order to relocate from Colombia).  His mom was very seriously hurt spending months in hospital.  JW came to visit and father allowed as he was grateful she had visitors while there.  Now all faithfully serving Jah for many years.
And many more.  As you can see, we are enjoying this historical tour but receiving many spiritual blessings as a bonus. Jehovah knows what we need and when we need it!

Lunch spot - Cellar style room of restaurant - absolutely amazing! And now I like flan :)
Funny story: This was NOT the wine being served for our group meal. But I asked the waiter about it and he brought me the bottle so I could see the name. Then he poured me a glass and told me not to tell anyone.  Well as you can see from the room setup, that was not even necessary. Because before he could even turn away, protests began from down the long table. He eventually brought the bottle to the table and we finished it pronto! You see my Spanish is not getting better.
Process for making real damascene! The finished products were stunning.
